Mr. Giustra has been actively engaged in the creation, financing, development, restructuring and management of publicly-traded junior mining companies since 1992. His early experience in public markets includes working as an investment advisor with a national securities brokerage firm and later as an investment banker at an international investment dealer where he co-founded the equity sales and corporate finance departments.

 

Peter Gianulis

Mr. Peter Gianulis is the President and Managing Director of Carrelton Asset Management, and was formerly a Partner of Saranac Capital Management, a NYC-based hedge fund. Carrelton Asset Management is an asset management and private equity firm specializing in small and micro-cap companies with a particular emphasis on the natural resource sector. Carrelton Asset Management is a significant shareholder of Columbus Gold. Mr. Gianulis graduated with an MBA from Cornell University and a BA from the University of California at San Diego.

 

Rock Lefrançois, P.Geo.*
Chief Operating Officer, Columbus Gold

Mr. Lefrançois is a professional geologist with 25 years of experience in the mining industry, more precisely in the search and evaluation of various types of precious and base metal deposits throughout North and Central America. During his fifteen-year engagement with mid-tier mining companies, namely in the position of Senior Geologist with Cambior and Aur Resources, he was responsible for the implementation of project generative and advanced acquisition programs and the management of exploration and extensive resource/reserve definition drilling programs.

More recently, Mr. Lefrançois has held high-level management positions and directorship of publicly trading Canadian junior exploration companies. During his seven-year tenure as Vice-President and President & COO of NioGold Mining Corp., he was a key contributor to consolidating a large land package within the heart of Canada's most prolific gold mining camp, defining a +2 million-ounce resource, and finally attracting and negotiating a strategic partnership with a mid-tier producer to carry the project to the feasibility stage.

Andy B. Wallace*
President, Columbus Gold Nevada

Mr. Wallace is the principal of Cordex Exploration LLC ("Cordex"), considered to be one of the most successful gold exploration groups in the United States. He joined Cordex in 1974, at the height of the Nevada gold rush, eventually Manager of Exploration in 1985. Cordex is credited with an unprecedented nine gold discoveries in Nevada, a number of which were under Mr. Wallace's management. He directed or was involved in, resource expansion, development, feasibility, engineering, permitting, mine construction and production at his Marigold discovery and also at the Pinson and Dee mines in Nevada. Mr. Wallace is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He completed a B.S. in geology at Eastern New Mexico University, an M.S. in geology at the University of Texas at El Paso, and a PhD in geology at the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Akbar Hassanally, CPA, CA
Chief Financial Officer, Columbus Group

Early in his career, Mr. Hassanally audited junior mining companies at KPMG in Vancouver. Since 1995, he has been engaged principally as a mergers & acquisitions advisor, including on Wall Street with Credit Suisse First Boston and JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for conducting financial analysis and executing merger transactions in a variety of industries, including metals and mining. Mr. Hassanally holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Diploma of Honors Standing (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.

 

Jenna Virk
VP Legal & Corporate Secretary, Columbus Group

Ms. Virk was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2007 and practiced law with a number of prominent Vancouver law firms, most recently at Boughton Law Corporation in the areas of corporate finance, securities and corporate commercial law. Ms. Virk completed her bachelor of laws degree from the University of British Columbia and bachelor of business administration from Simon Fraser University. She has represented reporting issuers in the mining, natural resource, technology, clean energy, industrial and service industries.

 

 

Jorge Martínez

Mr. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami with concentrations in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration and Marketing, and further studies in Project Management at the University of British Columbia. Mr. Martinez has over fifteen years of experience in Corporate Development and Communications, particularly in the natural resource industry but also in technology where he formerly held positions with Sony and 3Com.

 

 

Michel Boudrie
Country Manager - French Guiana, Columbus Gold

Mr. Boudrie is a professional geologist with over 36 years of experience in the mining industry, more precisely in the exploration and development of gold projects in Europe, West Africa and South America. Mr. Boudrie obtained a Ph.D. in Mineralogy from the University of Toulouse, France, in 1977, and during his career, has worked for a number of mining companies such as Cominco, BP Minerals, Rio Tinto, Billiton, Golden Star, Armina Ressources Minières. Mr. Boudrie has over 18 years of experience exploring French Guiana and has been involved in the Paul Isnard project since 1998, including in the position of Project and Regional Manager for Golden Star. His familiarity with French mining regulations and the mining community in French Guiana and his past contribution to the Paul Isnard project are an asset in moving the Montagne d’Or deposit to the mine feasibility stage.

 

 

Andrew Yau, CPA, CGA
Financial Controller, Columbus Group

Mr. Yau holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified General Accountant with strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and public company reporting requirements. Mr. Yau has been in accounting and finance roles with publicly listed companies since 2006 and held controller positions with various precious metals producers, including Great Panther Silver Limited and Silvermex Resources Inc. In addition to being responsible for financial reporting and tax compliance, Mr. Yau has been a key contributor to developing and implementing internal controls and reporting frameworks at various companies.
